The Service

Citizens Advice East Lancashire is proud to work in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, providing a specialist benefits advice service to people affected by cancer, helping with things such as:

• Benefit checks – Working out entitlement to benefits and tax credits

• Benefit applications – Completing benefit applications e.g. Personal Independence Payment, Attendance Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance, Universal Credit etc.

• Challenging benefit decisions – Challenging a benefit decision – for example, where someone has been refused a benefit or their entitlement has been stopped/suspended.

• Grant applications – Identifying whether any suitable grants may be available
